How to Delete Your Account and Data
You can request deletion of your account and associated data using any of the following methods:
Method 1: From the App
- Open the المجيب شريان (Sheryaan Auto-Reply) app on your device
- Tap the menu icon and select Logout
- This will immediately clear all locally stored data including your authentication tokens, cached configuration, and message history
Method 2: Contact Us by Email
- Send an email to privacy@sheryaan.com
- Include the phone number associated with your account
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email
Data That Will Be Deleted
Upon processing your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed from our servers:
- Phone number — your login phone number and any patient phone numbers processed through the app
- Name — your account name and patient names received via WhatsApp notifications
- Messages — all WhatsApp notification content and conversation sessions processed by the app
- SMS data — records of auto-reply SMS messages sent on missed calls
- Device information — device ID, device name, and operating system version
- Authentication credentials — login tokens and encrypted credentials stored on the device
- Auto-reply configuration — trigger-reply pairs and app settings
- Debug reports — diagnostic data submitted to the server (if any)
Data That May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained for legal, operational, or security reasons:
- Appointment records: Appointments created through the service are part of the clinic's medical records and may be retained by the clinic as required by applicable healthcare regulations. Retention period: as long as required by the clinic and applicable law.
- Anonymised analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics (e.g. total messages processed, reply counts) may be retained indefinitely for service improvement. This data cannot be linked back to you.
- Legal obligations: Data required to be retained under applicable law (e.g. transaction records, audit logs) will be kept for the legally mandated period, typically up to 6 years under UK law, before being deleted.
Any retained data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Deletion Timeframe
- Local app data: Deleted immediately upon logout
- Server-side data: Deleted within 30 days of receiving your request
- Backup systems: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being automatically purged
